Why We Started The Real Heal
The Real Heal was born from both heartbreak and hope.
Where It Began.
In February 2023, founder Dr. Margo Juedes lost her older sister, Jill, to suicide. Jill was an accomplished scientist, a PhD in Functional Genomics, and a lead researcher whose work focused on fibromyalgia and chronic pain. More importantly, she was a beloved sister, best friend, and extraordinary person whose compassion and adventurous spirit touched everyone around her.
While sitting beside Jill in the hospital, Dr. Juedes envisioned something different for healthcare—a place where providers from multiple specialties could work together under one roof, putting patients before egos and collaboration before competition. She imagined a space where people wouldn't have to navigate the healthcare system alone, but instead could find the support, resources, and care they needed in one welcoming location.
That Vision Became A Mission.
After two years of searching, Dr. Juedes purchased a 23,000-square-foot building in Iron Mountain in 2025 and transformed it into The Real Heal.
Today, it is home to physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, mental health services, wellness programs, movement classes, recovery therapies, and more—with room to continue growing.
A Different Vision For Healthcare.
The Real Heal exists to make healthcare more connected, more compassionate, and more accessible. Every provider brings their own expertise, but they all share one goal: helping patients heal in the way that is best for them.
Jill's legacy lives on through every person who walks through our doors. The Real Heal is more than a building—it's a community built on the belief that healing happens best when people work together.
